Securepoint 10.5 UTM virtual appliance NTLM on HTTP Proxy

We recently replaced Surfcontrol with Securepoint and turned on user NTLM authentication for the http proxy. We did the same with Surfcontrol/ISA and in the past this worked well.
When a user browses the web through IE7/8/9 no problems occur and passthrough authentication gets done properly. Only when we use firefox the user gets asked for credentials about every 5 minutes, when he inputs his password again internet still works.
I have looked at the NTLM settings in securepoint and all looks well, also the firefox settings are the same as they were with ISA.
Any ideas?
