Hi, i'm trying this software instead ipcop Fw.
I try to install it into Vmware Server, but i cannot communicate with any virtual ethernet settings.
Is there any settings that i must use in this kind of enviroment ?
Thanks for our help.

set your virtual ethernet interfaces to host only.
Set Hostonly Interface to 192.168.175.100 (on Host)...
try the Securepoint Wizard, to connect it...

My personal Config runs in bridged mode without problems....VM-Server 1.0.1 -> 1.0.2 -> 1.0.3.
3 real Nics bridged to different VM-Cards.
Be sure to disable any Personal-FW on the VMWare Host. (XP-Firewall and other solutions).
If the problem still exists, plz give more info about the environment

Hi,
which type of Vmware Network are you trying.
I have set my Vmware to Ethernet0.virtualDev = "e1000"
then the Securepoint find the virtual Network cards as an Intel e1000 Gigabit Card.
When you didn´t set this the Securepoint must find the virtual cards as
AMD PCNet32.
I Hope it helps..try to set the Network Card Type to e1000...
Dont forget to set your client ip to 192.168.175.10 or so and bridge
all virtual cards to your lokal network card... then it must go on
best regards

hi,
in my enviroment i set the external interface (eth0) as a nat device and
the internal interface as a host-interface. the external device of the
firewall is configured for dhcp and the host-interface to an ip address
in the range of 192.168.175.0/24 for administration. works pretty well.
