hi,

when you use for example 2 dsl connection on the firewall and one
failed, the firewall change the multipath routing automatically to a
single defaultroute. but the whole thing works only when the ppp
dsl connections are terminated on the firewall.

Funktioniert es eigentlich jetzt nur mit DSL-Leitungen? Oder geht es auch mit Ethernet Leitungen? Viele haben als Hauptleitung eine S-DSL Leitung und als reserve würden sie gerne die A-DSL Leitung nutzen. Laut Konfigurationsbeschreibung steht da PPP0 und PPP1 und da vermute ich eigentlich das es mit Sicherheit wahrscheinlich nicht funktionieren wird... oder?

PPP-Erkennung funktioniert nicht für uns, da wir über mehrere Ethernet-Verbindungen für mehrere Modems, die über die DSL-Anschlüsse.

Idealerweise möchten wir in der Lage zu konfigurieren, ein Ping-Prozess zur Erkennung von Fehlern.

Zum Beispiel, eine IP-Adresse des ISP-Gateway (vielleicht mehr als eine IP) auf Ping Festlegung einer bestimmten Pfad. Es wäre auch gut, wenn Sie sich konfigurieren, wie oft auf Ping.

Dann, wenn ein Ping fehlschlägt, Stop-Routing-Pakete, dass Pfad.

Thank you for your reply.

PPP detection does not work for us as we have multiple Ethernet connections to multiple modems which have the DSL connections.

Ideally, we would like to be able to configure a ping process to detect failures.

For example, assign an IP address of ISP gateway (maybe more than one IP) to ping down a particular path only. It would also be good if you could configure how often to ping.

Then if a ping fails, stop routing packets down that path.

Whilst the path is 'down' and all traffic is being routed down alternative links, it would be ideal if the ping process continued. Then when the ping returns again, the path should be brought back 'up' and traffic to be routed down the path again.
