Alternativ;
/ sbin / sysctl-w kernel.panic = 15

Danke :)

Hello, we appear to be having occasional kernel panics!
NB: We are running securepoint on two 'HUSH Technologies Hush B1' devices. http://www.hushtechnologies.net/

The clustering is working perfectly and the secondary is taking over, however after the kernel panic, securepoint is not rebooting automatically.

I assume that 'kernel.panic = 15' is missing from /etc/sysctl.conf

Alternatively;
/sbin/sysctl -w kernel.panic=15

Thank you :)

Hi,

the mainboard in your HUSH B1 seems to be somehow identical to our RC100/Piranja mainboards.

If these systems are new you should disable EHCI support:

1. Go into HUSH B1 BIOS
2. Search for " Integrated peripheals "
3. After selecting " Integrated Periphials " choose " VIA OnChip PCI Device! "
4. Hopefully there will be an option named " OnChip EHCI Controller ". Set this to " disabled "

If this option doesnt exist, please try to search for an similary option. (USB 2.0 support) and disable it if found.

On some of the newer Piranja/RC100 mainboards there are problems with enabled EHCI support sometimes, so maybe your HUSH B1 has the same issue.

Restart the HUSH B1 and reinstall the Securepoint R3 Software. If disabling EHCI/USB 2.0 wont help, look if all components in the HUSH B1 PC are intact. Check if the DIMM-Module is correctly installed, and if there is sufficient cooling for the VIA C7 CPU.
Look for blown up capacitors near the power connector and check if the hard-disk is intact.

Hope it will help you

Greetings,

Mario

Wow! Thank you.
I did exactly as you suggested and it made a big difference. My ping times across the firewall have even gone down!
It is a coincidence that it is the same mainboard.
