I read the last version of "Securepoint UTM Appliance Functions" on Securepoint website...
why don't you implement this feature (IPS) on new build version of securepoint appliance???
You know, One of the main feature on the UTM solution is the IPS... :roll:

it might be difficult to close down suspicious connections. Anyway, in general the appliance and its applications, supported by internal virus scanners, should be enough to ensure a safe internal network.

Some attacks operate on network layer and many of them on application layer but the virusscan(content filter) can protect the clients/servers behind the proxy service.
