Dear All,
Help. me.. i cant not install sp v10 but with CD or ISO file... in VMWare. error message :
VFS: Mounted foor (ext2 filesystem) or device 1:0
-------------------/dev/scd0--------------
mount : No such file or directory
Sorry, unable to find a source for installation

Hast du die Bootreihnfolge im VMware so eingestellt das er zuerst vom CD Laufwerk bootet??

Hi,
habe das selbe Problem aktuell auch bei einer Maschine mit Intel Mainboard, LSI Raid und Boot von USB.
Worauf genau bezieht sich das Problem denn?

Bei der Installation wird nur das erste CD-/USB-Device nach dem Installationsimage durchsucht. Probieren Sie einen anderen USB-Port oder lassen Sie die USB-Tastatur einmal weg.

...habe vom Installationsmedium USB auf Cd Rom gewechselt, somit funktionierte die Installation.
Jedoch hänge ich derzeit beim lieben Grub Problem.. :?

...Raid bzw. den LSI erst mal wieder rausgenommen, direkte Install auf die Platte...auf ein neues. :P

tada..! Hartnäckigkeit zahlt sich aus.
es funktioniert im AHCI Modus, da läuft der Grub sauber durch.
Weder bei IDE, RAID (Intel) noch Raid (LSI) macht er das.
Werd mich morgen mal melden, wie wir, bzw. richtigerweise ihr, dies manuell anpassen könnt.
Und sobald die blöde Hardware dann weg ist, gibt es zukünftig wieder nur noch Securepoint Lösung aus der Box.... einmal und nie wieder.

I'm getting same problem with VMware ESXi version 3.5.

I see instructions for installing in VMware Server but not for ESXi.

Connect the ISO to all 4 IDE ports in VMware and it will work. Seems to be a bug in the linux kernel IDE drivers which fails to probe for devices if not all ports are connected.

Hallo, habe das gleiche Problem wenn ich versuche v10.2 von CD auf ein SATA-System zu installieren. Nach Meldung
/dev/scd0
mount: no such file or directory
Sorry, unable to find a source for installation
bricht er ab. Egal in welchem mode (native, ahci, compatible) ich den Controller laufen lasse.
hat jemand ne Idee dazu?
